Walt Disney Imagineering

On behalf of Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), the creative arm of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, we are excited to announce the 2014 Imaginations Design Competition. Imaginations gives your students the opportunity to showcase their various artistic, technical and communication skills to our Imagineers whose backgrounds include a wide array of creative and technical disciplines. In addition, the top teams earn a spot to present their project in person and spend a week at our headquarters in California.

Imaginations continues to be a unique opportunity for your students as they look to start their professional careers. Every year, several finalists are offered paid internships within our offices in California and Florida. The competition is open to students and recent graduates in a broad array of disciplines including Architecture, Fine Arts, Animation, Communications, Computer Science, Construction/Project Management, Creative Writing/Screen writing/Playwriting, Design, Engineering, Game Design and/or Development, Graphic/Communications Design, Illustration, Industrial Design, Interactive Media Design, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Media Production (Digital, TV, Film), Theater Design and Production, Visual Arts.

The application period is September 16th through October 15th, 2013. Finalist teams will be announced in December and invited, all-expenses paid, to Walt Disney Imagineering headquarters in Glendale, CA at the end of January 2013. While in Glendale, they will present their projects to WDI executives, interview for internships and compete for monetary awards.

The colleges and/or organizations represented by the first place winner will be awarded a $1,000 grant, equally split if more than one first place winner.
