The Kudzu Review Seeks Visual Art Assistants!
The Kudzu Review, Florida State University’s premier undergraduate literary journal, is currently accepting Fall 2016 Visual Art Assistant Applications! Art majors working with Kudzu will closely and professionally critique visual art submissions, practice design for a functioning magazine, and build experience creating advertisements for digital and print circulation.
Those interested in joining Kudzu in Fall as an assistant should view our website (kudzureviewfsu.com) in addition to following the instructions below. All applicants interested in taking the course for credit must submit an application or risk being dropped from the class.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with “Visual Art Assistant Application” in the subject line. Attach a Microsoft Word document or PDF version of your résumé. Don’t concern yourself with fitting your credentials onto a single page. Be sure to include all of the following:
- Majors & Minors
- Year in school
- List of Relevant Art classes you’ve taken. Include:
- Professor’s Name
- Grade Received
- Semester class was taken
- Preferred Section. Please specify that you are interested in the Visual Art section
- Please List relevant work experience. Be sure to mention any previous affiliation with The Kudzu Review. *Relevant work experience can mean publishing experience. It can also entail experiences that demonstrate (transferable) skills or qualities that will benefit the publication. (E.g.General Skills: strong work ethic, time management skills, leadership skills; Technical Skills: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop)
- Provide an explanation of objectives and intent in working with The Kudzu Review: goals, desired experience, and potential benefit to the publication. *Minimum Word Count: 150
