Lecturer in Studio Art Foundations (Renewable Contract)
The Mount Holyoke College Studio Art Program invites applications for a Lecturer position in Studio Foundations. This artist will actively participate in the expansion and development of our foundations program and will teach five introductory courses per year including courses designed in consultation with studio art faculty. We are especially interested in broadly trained artists with a diverse teaching background. Applicants must have an MFA in visual art, a minimum of 2 years of college-level teaching experience beyond a graduate teaching assistantship, and a significant exhibition record. Areas of expertise might include 2D & 3D foundations, analog and digital design, installation, and time-based media.
The initial appointment is for three years, with a renewable contract following a successful third-year review. After the second three-year appointment, the candidate will become a senior lecturer (with renewable five-year contracts), and is eligible for sabbatical leaves and other benefits equivalent to that of a tenure-track faculty member.

Visiting Artist Lecturer in Painting (Two-year Contract)
The Mount Holyoke College Studio Art Program invites applications for a 2-year Visiting Artist Lecturer Position in Painting. This position requires a specialization in painting with a broad interdisciplinary background. This artist will teach 5 courses per year including Foundations, Painting I, Painting II, Special Topics in Painting, and advanced-level studio courses in which students work in a variety of mediums. Required qualifications are an MFA in visual art, a minimum of 2 years of college-level teaching experience beyond a graduate teaching assistantship, and a significant exhibition record.
Applicants should be aware that in the second year of this position, we will conduct a national search for a tenure-track position in painting.
Visiting Lecturer Position Starting Salary (2016-17): $58,000
