Sculptor Needed for Post Baccalaureate TA Position at Bucknell University

Published March 14, 2012

There is an opening for a Post Baccalaureate Teaching Assistant to work Joe Meiser over the next two years at Bucknell University.  The TA’s primary role will be to assist with various class activities, and with the day-to-day operations of our Sculpture Lab. This is a paid one-year position with the possibility of renewal for a second year, contingent upon favorable evaluations.
This position is an excellent stepping-stone for a student who has recently completed their undergraduate studies, or is about to graduate, who is interested in pursuing an MFA in studio art, but wants an additional couple of years to develop a stronger portfolio and gain experience.  The close mentoring provided in this position, as well as the access to equipment and resources of the wider university will enable a motivated person to become a highly desirable candidate for graduate study.

**Please note that the deadline for submissions is just one month from today: April 11, 2012.
If you know of any talented, hard working, cooperative sculptors who have recently completed an undergraduate degree in sculpture, or are about to graduate, then pass this message on to them.
