Saw Palm: Florida Literature & Art is now accepting submissions for Issue 18 of our print journal. If you know of any students and/or colleagues currently engaged in creative work, we’d love for you to pass along our submission call to those who might be interested! 

Saw Palm Call for Submissions

Saw Palm is a journal that seeks to go beyond the news stories and tourist brochures, capturing the unique experience of Florida lives and landscapes. Established as a web journal in 2006 by John Henry Fleming and the graduate students of the Creative Writing Program at the University of South Florida, Saw Palm began publishing a print edition and taking subscriptions in 2008. 

We offer a mix of stories, essays, poems, comics, and visual art that speaks to the diversity of Florida. Our contributors include national and international award-winners, as well as emerging artists and writers. We are especially interested in experimental and voice-driven work. 

      Issue 18 is open for submissions until November 1st, 2023 for publication in Spring 2024. Find us on Submittable at https://sawpalm.submittable.com/submit for more guidelines. We’ve also attached our flyer below.
