Some courses listed below can be repeated with instructor permission. Note: the course must be listed as repeatable in the university bulletin. If it is not listed as repeatable, you will not receive credit for repeating the class.
All BA and BFA students are required to complete the required Foundations courses and one focus area (see templates below), though BFA students are required to complete two focus areas. Students must declare their focus area by the time they reach 90 credit hours. Please be mindful of prerequisites and co-requisites for advanced courses.
Focus areas: Ceramics Studio Art, Ceramics Digital Media, Digital + Forms, Drawing, Figure, Interactive Media, Painting, Photographic and Artist’s Books, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Text + Media, Time-based Media
Note: students wishing to pursue a career as a designer are required to complete at least two of the following focus areas: Design, Text + Media, Time-based Media, Interactive Media, Digital + Forms, Photography, Printmaking
Through advising students may propose alternate focus areas that will be presented to faculty for individual approval.
