Professor Garcia-Roig Featured at Cernuda Arte

Published October 2, 2018

Cernuda Arte Gallery in Coral Gables is featuring works from two of FSU Art Professor Garcia-Roig’s new series “Hecho En Cuba” and “Reconstructed Sights” at the 2018 EXPO/CHGO. Works from these series are all related to the working trip she made to Cuba in 2017. These series will be part of a solo show at Cernuda Arte that will open November 3, 2018. There is a catalog of the upcoming show that includes an essay by FIU art historian Carol Damian.

The complete spectrum of Cuban art has been, for more than twenty-five years, Cernuda Arte Gallery’s field of expertise and with pleasure it will continue to be so. The gallery is recognized as a leading authority in Cuban art. They are frequently consulted by museums, art galleries, art collectors and auction houses regarding the authenticity of artworks. They also provide multiple services and assistance in art collecting. The Gallery recognizes that, in view of the broad and complex world of the plastic arts, which spans from the cave paintings of prehistory to today’s postmodern creations, it is unthinkable to claim critical capacity and expert knowledge over everything. Today, specialization in the different spheres of the arts has become a pressing necessity.
