To celebrate COCA’s 30th anniversary, The Council on Culture & Arts decided to highlight local emerging artists with a special juried exhibition. COCA received more than 100 submissions of individual artworks from 47 artists aged 18-29. Artworks were presented to volunteer review panelists, and based on their recommendations, 30 artists have been invited to participate. The winning artists were announced during a reception held at the City Hall Art Gallery on Friday, October 30th. Scott Bell was awarded First Place for Passing Lanes, Christina Klein took Second Place for Untitled, Tenee’ Hart placed Third for Cestoda and Noah Brock received an Honorable Mention for Entropy. The COCA 30 Under 30 Exhibition will be on display at the City Hall Art Gallery until November 16th. Featured FSU Art students and alumni include: Charles Barger, Gaelin Craighead, Annie Donovan, Jenn Egelfeld, Teresa Lausell, Alissa Mittl, Sarah Notley, Elise Thompson, Marina Williams and Olivia Wright.
