Mathew Adams to Attend The Pajama Factory Artist Residency

Published June 9, 2016
pj-factory-8FSU Art MFA ’18 Mathew Adams has been invited to attend the Pajama Factory Artist in Residence program this June and July to create new photographic images. The Pajama Factory is an artist community and studio space located in Williamsport Pennsylvania. Each year the Artist in Residence program invites several artists to come and create works as well as share their practices with the community in the Artist in Residency program. While attending Mathew will be utilizing the unique community darkroom to explore the Wet Plate Collodion process. Wet Plate is a 19th century photographic method of print and negative production that is scarcely practiced in the modern era. The Williamsport Community Darkroom and The Pajama Factory are unique in that they have the tools needed for this process, being one of the few community darkrooms capable of wet plate photography.
