MANDEM received the “Outstanding Work in Sculpture” award at the Waterloo Arts Fest Juried Exhibition in Cleveland, Ohio. “Domestication #1 – Her Brother’s Keeper,” a mixed media sculptural painting, was selected for the exhibit by guest curator Rob Lehr, who is the director of marketing at the Canton Art Museum and the gallery director at Summit Artspace Gallery. MANDEM was chosen for the “Outstanding Work in Sculpture” award by a guest juror representing The Sculpture Center of Cleveland.

Waterloo Arts is located in the historic neighborhood of Collinwood, where it strives to be a creative hub for the presentation and exploration of thought-provoking art and design.

MANDEM is currently in Cleveland for a three-month artist residency at Negative Space Gallery where they are continuing work on their “Hypermobility” series of paintings and engaging with the Rust Belt art scene. They also received a grant to participate in the 2016 DVAC Community Supported Art Program through the Dayton Visual Arts Center in Ohio, through which they are exhibiting several times over the summer.
