Letterpress Broadsides by FSU Art Students on Display at Public Library May 1 – 30th

Published May 12, 2015
This past semester, Allison Milham taught FSU’s first ever course on Letterpress Printing in the Department of Art and a selection of work will be on display through the end of the month at the Public Library. Limited edition, hand-printed broadsides were produced through a collaboration between FSU Printmaking and Creative Writing students. Art Department Instructor, Allison Milham, worked with Writing Instructor, Keith Kopka, to design this cross-college collaborative project. The prints will be on display at the Public Library, Main Branch, downtown thru the end of the month.

The prints you’ll see in this show were printed from hand-set lead and wood type, photo-polymer, linocut and collograph. Each printed in an edition of 30 copies on a Vandercook 219 at the Room 13 Letterpress Studio in FSU’s Department of Art.
