from FSU Art BA ’19 Kengel Maysonet:

“This semester I have had the opportunity to be an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for the Sculpture 1 class. I had the opportunity to lead the class alongside FSU Art Professor Carolyn Henne. Throughout the course, I have been conducting demonstrations and developing quizzes on wood and metal shop tools and safety. I am also excited to have been tasked with designing and heading the final assignment in the course. This has personally been a highlight for me, because it is my opportunity to have full control over their assignment and begin to test my ability to challenge the students and their art. It has been my job for this project and during the semester to advise and help Sculpture students formulate and execute their ideas using technical and conceptual skills. I would definitely recommend an internship like this if someone has a desire to learn to teach and guide other artists.”
