During the spring of 2019, two undergraduate printmaking students and members of Print Club, Kyla Gatz and Kacee Reguera, had the opportunity to record a podcast with Jorge Chirinos Sanchez, founder of artisabout.com. artisabout.com is an online publication based in South Florida dedicated to documenting art exhibitions and cultural events within local communities by interviewing and speaking to artists, gallery owners, curators, collectors, and educators. artisabout.com was launched in 2011 and has now made its way to print. In the podcast, Kyla, Kacee, and J.C. discuss how technology and academia change art, what it’s like to have a collaborative studio, and how Print Club has been involved in the community.
Episode #9 of the Chirinos Sanchez podcast along with all the others can be found on Itunes, Google play store, Spotify, Podbean and other podcast apps.
artisabout.com has an open contributing writer invitational for writers and artists that want to contribute to the publication. It is locally-owned and self-published; any support contributes to the art community at large. Whether you want to write about the arts, have your artwork featured, or just want to be involved, please reach out to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
