Janis Brothers, FSU Art MFA 2005: Work Selected For Appleton Biennial 2012

Janis Brothers’ work ”That Was Then/This Is Now (Vigil),” which highlights Suwannee Springs near Live Oak, is one of twelve works by Florida artists on display at the Appleton Museum of Art’s Appleton Biennial 2012: Florida Installation Art-Art of Our Time II. The Museum, located in Ocala, began a biennial competition surveying current trends in installation art with its inaugural exhibit in 2010. Participating artists were selected by Miami-based artist/curator Alette Simmons-Jimenez, whose internationally exhibited work is based in painting, sculpture, video and installation.
