Good Sports – USA is a youth mentoring program and subsidiary of the non-profit L.E.G.A.C.C.Y. – USA, Inc., whose mission is to leverage diverse community partnerships that empower, grow and advance challenged communities and youth who reside in low income and rural communities. Their youth mentoring program targets at-risk youth 6 – 18 years of age with a focus on transferring their passion and motivation for sports and entertainment into an opportunity to learn the employment process and about non-player sports and entertainment jobs/careers surrounding the central figures within these two industries.
The organization is seeking a muralist to work with them over the course of this summer in order to help design and paint a mural on their community center. They are seeking a bold statement that promotes education, human rights, inspires and provides a positive motivation to the youth and the community.
They would like for this to be a summer project for the youth. The apartment manager has agreed to the project and agreed to purchase the necessary supplies.
Good Sports – USA is asking for this to be instructional from design to implementation such that the youth can take part in the project and feel both an attachment and have an appreciation for their roles.
The summer program begins Monday June 5 and runs through August 4, 2017. The organization would like for the project to be spread out over the course of our summer program, preferably on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
Interested students should contact Darrell Feagin Sr. via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
