Opening Reception July 15, 2016

Please join us on July 15, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts for the opening of our Graduating Artists, and for Assemblage: 5 Artists . . . 20 Years, and for Road Trip.

Summer Graduating Artists Exhibition
July 15 – August 4, 2016
There is probably no happier show in any artist’s career than a celebratory exit show. Graduating Artists is an assembly of solo exhibitions by those students who are attaining their BFA degrees after arduous yet productive studio work at Florida State University. With no restrictions on scale or media, the student showcase is a joyous adventure brought to MoFA by young professionals launching into their futures.

Assemblage: 5 Artists . . . 20 Years
July 15 – September 18, 2016

The Bachelor of Fine Arts classmates of 1996 faced a brave new world beyond the University, and all of them met their challenges with the creativity they learned or invented during their degree programs. ‘Assemblage’ is a diverse installation that catches up with the work of five members of a graduating class twenty years ago.

Artists:

  • C. Joel Beaman
  • Richard Grillotti
  • Melissa Herrington
  • David Wayne Miller
  • Charity Wood Myers
Road Trip
July 15 – September 18, 2016
“Road Trip” gathers together thematic imagery of highways, maps, and roadside diners from the MoFA Permanent Collection.
