The Working Method Contemporary Gallery re-opens and launches its Grand Opening on Thursday, April 17th, 2014 at its new and improved location in the Carnaghi Arts Building.
This opening exhibit will highlight the works of eleven ambitious Master’s of Fine Art Candidates at Florida State University. This exhibition, titled: Intimate Spaces, will include works ranging from performance art to photographs, sculptures, paintings, and evocative objects and concepts. The works in will vary in style, aesthetics, and interpretation in terms of exploring various meanings in relation to intimacy and space.
Working Method Contemporary is a graduate student-run gallery located in the Department of Art at Florida State University at their new location within the Carnaghi Arts Building.
The decision-making power behind this alternative gallery space is the organization, The League of Graduate Artists. The MFA Candidates currently enrolled in the program take the initiative to organize, market, curate, and exhibit all shows. The students gain experience and leadership knowledge as well as artistic development within their practices. The objective with this unique process is to allow artists an opportunity to cultivate a well-rounded repertoire of skills to compete on the business side of the art world.
