I have been fascinated by Gadsden County history ever since I moved here in 1984. My co-authors were born and raised here.  Next to St. Augustine and Pensacola, Gadsden County has the distinction of being one of the most historic counties in Florida. There were native Americans here 12,000 years ago and continual habitation since then. But, oddly little has been written about it’s history. This book is only the third book published about the county, the first was in 1976. There may be a more expanded book to follow, this book is an appetizer.This book consumed six months of my life, but it was worth every minute.
