Published December 11, 2012

I’ve spent the last six months working in the LMCC Swing Space Studios on Governors Island. Come see what’s new! Treat yourself to an afternoon escape and let the island greet you with sweeping views, passing ships, and Manhattan skylines.

Final LMCC Open Studios
Friday, December 14th | 12-5pm
Governors Island, Building 110

Please RSVP for ferry information.
A friendly note to dress warmly. Bring your coat and LMCC will bring the cider.

About Building 110: LMCC’s Arts Center at Governors Island

Building 110: LMCC’s Arts Center at Governors Island houses 20 visual artist studios, two rehearsal studios, and an exhibition space, all with sweeping views of the Lower Manhattan skyline and New York Harbor. Formerly an Army warehouse, historic Building 110 was transformed by LMCC in 2010 into a multi-use arts facility for the development and presentation of new work in the performing and visual arts. Artists-in-residence are offered a retreat-style experience just minutes from the City, and audiences gain unique access to New York City’s newest cultural destination.

Getting There
The ferry departs from the boat slips at the Battery Maritime Building, 10 South Street, Manhattan. The building is green and located directly northeast of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal on the East River. There will be a standing LMCC banner on the street to guide you to the correct slip, and LMCC staff will be waiting to check you in. Please see the RSVP form for ferry departure times.
