The Florida House of Representatives Democratic Office seeks design interns for the 2018 Legislative Session (January – March 2018).
The Communications Office has been completely revamped. In past years, the office’s social media presence was almost non-existent. Interactions with and content given to the press were very usual, mainly just press releases and statements.
Over the past 8 months, the office has overhauled social media and expanded their presence. The team has created graphics to promote priority legislation and infographics based on research projects to drive media dialogues. They’re committed to exploring new ways to integrate design into our messaging strategy.
Working in the office will help you to gain valuable design experience and pieces to add to your work portfolio while gaining a comprehensive understanding of the legislative process.
Work with the Staff Director, the Communications Director, the Deputy Communications Director, and State Representatives daily on projects for Members and the entire caucus.
Please be efficient in:
Photoshop & Illustrator
The internship is unpaid. Course credit is available.
If interested, please send an email with a resume by December 15th.
