Exciting cake updates from FSU Art Alum Paul Joachim

  • In April, I sculpted a 5 foot 8 – 480 serving, 182 lb + cake LIVE at the Festival of Chocolate in Orlando. I immersed the audience into a themed environment of jazz with a visual backdrop, jazz music, large swanky chairs to sit and relax, ganache shots, education and one-on-one interaction. Thank you Guittard for sponsoring the chocolate. See the attached image.
  • Please share this video I sent to Ellen DeGeneres with the hopes of getting on the show and telling the world about Icing Smiles!! Make sure to watch it fullscreen to get all the details.  Thanks to Satin Ice and Callebaut for helping out!  Thanks to Satin Ice, Callebaut, siriuscreative.biz and seekingsmiles.com for helping make the video possible.
  • Real Life 101, a nationally syndicated TV show highlighting interesting careers interviewed me last month.   It should be airing sometime this year.
  • October 26th, I will be presenting at a PechKucha event.  It’s a 20 slide presentation, 20 seconds each!  It’s fast paced, informative and fun.   I plan on telling an inspirational story of my cake journey thus far.
  • I will be having an agent representing me very soon!
A lot more to come …
