Dani Poey Interns at Master Craftsman Studios

Published May 1, 2019

from FSU Art BFA ’19 Dani Poey:

“At Master Craftsman Studios, I am a jack of all trades when it comes to new and incoming projects. Whether I’m casting and mold making, carving pens, collaborating with other artists, or metal work I’m always on hand to assist my mentors and fellow employees. I have learned multiple things while working at Master Craftsman, such as learning to work with others and how to deal with time management. The best part about interning here was the friendly atmosphere and the many different tasks I was asked too do such as how to wire a tree chandelier for the Double Tree Hotel or deinstall installations at the MoMa. I loved every single moment of working there no matter how early I had to get up. I’ve learned so many things I never thought I ever would, and more! I have made friends for life and some truly amazing connections thanks to this wonderful opportunity. Its nice to feel like part of an art community with so many talented people that support you and want you to improve not just as an artist, but as a person. This internship was truly a blessing. I wouldn’t trade it for any other experience or internship in the world.”
