Call for design interns at Millennial Plug-In

Published March 25, 2014

This is an opportunity with Alexander Rivera (FSU Art alum) and Millenial Plug-In. For more information, contact alexander.e.rivera@gmail.com

Having spent years as a design student, I know the trials and tribulations students go through. There is excitement, ambition, but also anxiety because of the inevitable job hunt. There are many aspects about the “real world” that college left out. Each designer has his or her particular strengths, which we seek to help them hone, as well as capitalize on.

The term “graphic designer” is slowly fading from the workforce. Most companies are looking for front-end developers, UX/UI designers, or creative directors. This is one of the facts that college doesn’t tell students. When I graduated, I quickly realized how the tides were turning. It took a little while, but I was forced to adapt to not only remain with the curve, but ahead of it. I have an opportunity for students to get ahead of the game, and gain the experience they need remain competitive for the design field.
