Brittany M. Watkins Summer Residency at The Hambidge Center

Published March 29, 2019

Adjunct Professor and Art MFA ’16 Alum Brittany M. Watkins will be attending a two week residency this June at The Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences, in Rabun Gap, GA. This will be her third residency since graduating with an MFA from Florida State University in 2016. Watkins will be focusing on a new body of “Rumination Works” on paper. These experimental paintings will provide a new look at previous installations from 2017 to present day.

Hambidge provides a residency program that empowers talented individuals to explore, develop, and express their creative voices. Situated on 600 acres in the mountains of north Georgia, Hambidge is a sanctuary of time and space that inspires individuals working in a broad range of disciplines to create works of the highest caliber.
