Art in the Open: a public art program created with the intention to promote public art in the new Creative District, by complimenting events, stimulating growth and economic development in underdeveloped corridors, and bringing interest to our Historic Downtown.
20 teams of fiber artists (1-3/team) will compete to yarn bomb 20 trees along the W Jackson Street corridor by staging a Wildlife Yarn Bomb. Each team will create a fiber art sleeve for the tree trunk with an embellishment of wildlife animals that are felted, furried, knitted and created with any other form of fiber art.
Three awards including Best of Show: $1,500, 1st Place: $750, and 2nd Place: $500 will be granted to the top three fiber art teams.
1. Gather a team of fiber artists (1-3 people)

3. Go to Fuzzy Goat to pay $25* entry fee and fill out form (through QR code or with exact cash or check made out to TCA) *The entry fee will fund materials not covered by sponsors
Art in the Open: Furry and Feathered, will be open to the public from November 11th to December 12th.
