Each year the Turnbull Conference Center is home to Digitech, a showcase of student technology and innovation at FSU and once again the Department of Art was a prominent display for over 500 people in attendance, showing how we incorporate technology as a means to further our students’ creative pursuits.
On display was work from Kevin Curry’s Digital Foundation and Keith Roberson’s Experimental Animation classes, as well as a video of Graduate student Matt Lawrence talking about his work with our ceramic 3D Printer. Also on display was sculptural work from 1st year grad Chris Christian. Our Fab Lab and the equipment available to our students proved to be the envy of many students and faculty from other departments, who particularly enjoyed the opportunity to see our Formlabs SLA resin printer in action.
All in all, a successful conference and we’re already setting our sights a bigger and better 2018!
A big shout out to Robby Nowell for his transportation and never-ending technical support!
