Annual Reflections Art Contest at FSUS Needs Judges

Published October 24, 2018

The Annual Reflections Art Contest at FSUS (K-12), organized by the National PTA, is celebrating its 50th year. They will be recruiting 3 people to serve as judges for the works submitted by the students at the school. The judging will take place in mid- December (exact date TBD). Entries will be judged primarily on how well the student uses his or her artistic vision to portray the theme, originality, and creativity. Recruiting creative professionals to judge student artwork is an imperative part of this programs success. Awards will be given for each category at the Elementary, Middle, and High School level. Lunch will be provided to the volunteers on the day judging occurs.

This year’s theme, “Heroes Around Me,” calls for the students own unique interpretation through the arts. Students can choose to participate in one (or more!) of six categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Film Production and Dance Choreography. Historically at FSUS, most submissions have been in the visual arts and photography categories. Though participation is all categories in encouraged. More information can be found here.
