Alumni Dan Schmahl in Island Time: Galveston Artist Residency– The First Four Years

Island Time opens on Friday at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston(exhibition Nov 20-Feb 14). Building on my Pink Dolphin Monument project on Auia Galveston Island, Léuli Eshraghi is showing a new video installation called Spaceship Earth (Portal 29.330247˚N 94.735097˚W). Nearly twenty additional artists, including FSU alumni Dan Schmahl, Autumn Knight, Hilary Wilder, Nick Barbee, George Rush, Jade Townsend and William Powhida, will also be reinterpreting their experience of the island, all supported by the Galveston Artist Residency.
