Alumni and Students Involved in National Clay Week Host Workshop

Published October 12, 2017

The Ceramics Program at FSU is proud to be part of National Clay Week, which started October 9th and ends on the 15th. Our students and alumni are taking part in helping the local clay organization, TallyClayArts, with an initiative to bring the public in to demonstrate the value of ceramics nationally and locally in our community. On October 14th and 15th, special pottery and sculpting demonstrations are taking place, along with wheel throwing contests and sculpting games — with prizes! We also sponsored a Visiting Artist, Teri Frame, to come during this week. We raise our mugs in alliance with others globally and locally to appreciate contemporary craft, design, and art shaped by artists who work in clay.
