Aarhus Center for Visual Art (Aarhus Billedkunstcenter, AaBKC) invites international curators of contemporary visual art to apply to AaBKC Residency’s Spring 2017 program.
The aim of AaBKC Residency is to introduce international curators and artists to the visual arts scene in Aarhus, Denmark – the second largest city in Denmark and designated European Capital of Culture 2017. AaBKC Residency’s Spring 2017 program invites one international curator to live and work in Aarhus from May 15 – June 26, 2017, where they will have an opportunity to meet local artists and arts professionals, visit artist studios and exhibition spaces, and participate in networking meetings and cultural events. By focusing on networking, AaBKC Residency facilitates short- and long-term professional development, allowing curators to broaden their knowledge base, develop new and meaningful professional contacts and relationships, create future work opportunities, refine their networking skills, and build other vital professional capacities. Stipend provided.
