Digital Foundations and 3/D
The Department of Art at Florida State University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position to begin in August 2012. We seek a dedicated teacher with expertise in digital foundations plus skills in Sculpture and/or Ceramics.
The teaching load is 3/3 for the academic year: two courses in foundations each term and one course in a 3D studio area (sculpture and / or ceramics). Ten additional hours a week will be devoted to administrative support to the foundations area. MFA degree required. Teaching experience is desired beyond a graduate teaching assistantship.
The successful candidate will be skilled in a range of digital art, design tools and online technologies. Applicants must exhibit strong writing and speaking skills and a teaching attitude that displays a commitment to energizing students within an interdisciplinary environment.
